Vermeer announces death of former CEO

<![CDATA[<p>Bob Vermeer, a second generation Vermeer family member, former Vermeer Corporation CEO and current chair emeritus, has died.</p><p>The company announced his death on social media Wednesday morning, stating he died after a battle with cancer. The company did not specify when Vermeer died, nor his age.&nbsp;</p><p>Vermeer was the son of founder Gary Vermeer and served as CEO from 1989 to 2003.
